Annual Recognition Banquet

Dean Larry D. Singell Jr. invites you to attend the IU College of Arts and Sciences 2011 Annual Recognition Banquet. The banquet will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall of the Indiana Memorial Union. We hope that you can join us on campus for this wonderful event celebrating the arts and sciences at Indiana University.

Highlighting the banquet will be the presentation of the College’s most prestigious awards to five recipients.

2011 Distinguished Alumni Award DONALD M. FEHR BA, Political Science, 1970 Executive Director National Hockey League Players Association

2011 Distinguished Alumni Award CAROLYN K. REIDY MA, English, 1974, Ph.D. English, 1982 President and CEO Simon and Schuster Inc.

2011 Distinguished Alumni Award ADAM ROBINSON JR. BA, Political Science, 1972 Surgeon General and Chief of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, US Navy

2011 Distinguished Faculty Award ELLEN KETTERSON Distinguished Professor of Biology and Gender Studies Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior Kinsey Institute for Research on Sex, Gender and Reproduction

2011 Outstanding Young Alumni Award ERIN PATRICK BA, French and Political Science, 1998 Senior Program Officer Fuel and Firewood Initiative Women's Refugee Commission

ANNUAL ALUMNI MEETING NOTICE

The alumni board will hold its annual business meeting on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 8:30 a.m. in the second-floor Conference Room of the Von Lee, located at 517 E. Kirkwood Ave. All members of the College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Association are invited to attend.

RESERVATIONS, REGISTRATION, AND LODGING

For those guests not requiring a hotel room, please register for the banquet by:

Reservations for the banquet only, must be made by October 14, 2011. Tickets are available for $35 each for IUAA members, $40 each for nonmembers. Reservations are required. Banquet reservations will be held in your name at the registration table in Alumni Hall. The appropriate dress for the evening is business attire.

* Hotel rooms have been reserved at the Indiana Memorial Union for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Rooms are limited and will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
